Privacy policy

Data Nghe collects

Account: the identifier from Google or Apple when you sign in, display name, username, profile photo and bio. Your date of birth and gender are used internally only and are never shown to others.

Content you create: messages in Live rooms, letters and replies, chat messages, and room backgrounds.

Activity: Live rooms you create or join, people you follow and block, gifts sent and received, your Nốt balance and transaction history, and voice ratings you give.

Audio: the host’s voice is streamed live to listeners. Nghe does not record or keep the audio of Live rooms.

Device: your notification token (when you allow notifications) and the technical logs needed to run and protect the service.

Payments: Nốt purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play. Nghe only receives a transaction ID to verify them and never receives your card details.

How we use it

To run accounts, Live rooms, letters, chat, follows, gifts and notifications.

To apply age limits: Nghe is for people aged 17 and over; payouts are only for users aged 18 and over who have verified their identity.

To keep the community safe: handling reports, hiding content that breaks the rules, blocking users and preventing abuse.

To send notifications about your activity and notices from Nghe.

Nghe does not sell personal data and does not use your data for third-party advertising.

Who sees what

Others can see your public profile, your Live rooms, your messages in rooms, and your letters and replies.

Anonymous letters and replies never show your name to other users, but they stay linked to your account in our systems so Nghe can act on reports.

Chat messages are seen only by the two people in the conversation. Nghe only looks at a message when it is reported.

Notifications

When you allow them, Nghe sends notifications about new messages, new followers, people you follow going live, replies to your letters, and notices from Nghe.

Message and reply notifications include their text, so they may appear on your lock screen. You can turn notifications off at any time in Nghe’s Settings or your device’s settings.

Sharing with third parties

Nghe only shares the data needed with its infrastructure providers: Google and Apple (sign-in, payments, notifications), LiveKit (audio streaming technology), Cloudflare (domain, image storage) and Expo (notification delivery).

Some providers run servers outside Vietnam, so data may be transferred abroad to be processed. Nghe only transfers what is needed and requires them to protect it.

Nghe may provide data when a competent state authority requests it as required by law.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept for as long as you use your account.

When you delete your account, it is hidden, every session ends and your devices stop receiving notifications right away. You have 30 days to restore it by signing in again.

After 30 days your profile is anonymized; your letters, replies, chat conversations, sign-in links, followers and block lists are deleted.

Nốt and gift transaction history is kept in anonymized form for reconciliation under accounting regulations.

Your rights

You can view and edit your profile, withdraw consent to notifications, request a copy or deletion of your data, and delete your account right in the app under Profile → Settings → Delete account.

Changes to this policy

Nghe may update this policy. Important changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
